My philosophy is relational. IT grew out of my thought processes about my journal-published research involving a self-organizing expanding system, not unlike the expanding boundary of our universe. Much of the changes of a boundary’s shape/potential, due to energy/information crossing it, can be characterized using the full Energy Equation and statistical mechanics.
Identity—the unique point of view a person comes into the world with and lives throughout their lives with—becomes a major stumbling block in my understanding of where any sort of awareness goes after death.
The research I published (see EXPERIMENT) is a low energy analog of the expanding universe (Analogs are analogies. And analogies can be represented by mathematical functions that model behaviors—behaviors that might be similar to one another).
How The Expanding Universe Might Be Like An Expanding Droplet
Like the boundary of a two-fluid expanding droplet (unsteady and unstable) our universe goes “into and out of focus” at regular intervals.
What’s The Static?
How might static (or a low amplitude signal) take part in the formation of our consciousness?
When we read, we concentrate on the words, rarely the spaces between them. But it is the spaces that allow us to consider each discrete series of letters (the information we need to transfer and receive).
What happens in these spaces that helps to group words into their discrete meanings?
What happens in the spaces between the mind’s images and its thoughts?
In building a model of how consciousness might develop, we assume that there is an “Implicit Order” (as described by David Bohm in “Wholeness and the Implicit Order”) and a “What Is” or an “Explicit Order” as described by J. Krishnamjurti (in his various works).
. . . In my two-fluid experiment, the Navier-Stokes Equation (a fluid mechanics equation derived from the overarching energy balance equation) can be rearranged through rules of calculus to force the space-dependent term(s) to equal the time dependent term(s). The only way a derivative of space can equal a derivative of time is if they …
FOR OUR SPECIFIC EXPERIMENT–SEE “THE EXPERIMENT” UNDER MENU IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER OF THE HOME PAGE. Place a droplet of water on a surface and it will bunch up, take on the shape of a half sphere. That’s because water molecules are cohesive, partly meaning they have high surface tension in air. The water …
For something to exist, like an experience of awareness, part of an apparent continuous consciousness, there must be a relationship across at least one boundary (one difference in potential, or at least one signal/transfer of information). A relationship exists when we sample our environment and it responds to our sampling (the same can be said …
In my investigation of what space is and how it differs from the dimension of time—or not—I came up against something that should look strange to most of us, but that is taken in stride. Namely, the size of things. Coming back from Vegas through all of the beautiful, yet never-ending desert, …
