Consciousness: Continuous or Discontinuous? Before I discuss either aspect in depth, I want to explain why I would look at continuity as a basis for describing Consciousness. Again, I’d like to emphasize here that all we can do is DESCRIBE. A description is the story we tell about our sample data. And our sample data …

Relational Philosophy vs. Objectivism
Changing one’s POV to be relational rather than objective can illuminate questions about our universe in a new light, so we may begin to find answers to questions that were previously unanswerable.
When we look at a perfectly symmetrical droplet of water-based fluid expanding slowly into a fat-based fluid, we find that the momentum of the water, as it begins to push the “fat” out of the way, causes the interface between the fluids to go unstable and buckle into sine waves.
When Fact meets Fiction: The Next Grand Solar Minimum
The bad news is that some studies show sunspot magnetic field strengths have been declining since 2000 and are already close to the minimum needed to sustain sunspots on the solar surface.
The Process of Self-Organization
Self-organization grows out of questions asked and answered across an expanding boundary. The boundary starts at (or just after) a kind of nearly coherent singularity. As energy and information cross the boundary, it changes, and subsequently reacts in an ever more complex way with the WIBWI or the ever changing, Implicit Order (the all-inclusive set/ever-educated/complemented by the Explicit (the WI)).
THE INCOMING
My philosophy is relational. IT grew out of my thought processes about my journal-published research involving a self-organizing expanding system, not unlike the expanding boundary of our universe. Much of the changes of a boundary’s shape/potential, due to energy/information crossing it, can be characterized using the full Energy Equation and statistical mechanics.
HOW TO DESCRIBE AN EXPANDING RELATIONSHIP BOUNDARY
Okay, so, today I’ll begin to cover an idea that’s grown out of my pursuit of the origin of human consciousness. I’ve promised this further thought into my relational philosophy of consciousness, but have yet to deliver. For that, I apologize.
THE PROBLEM WITH IDENTITY
Identity—the unique point of view a person comes into the world with and lives throughout their lives with—becomes a major stumbling block in my understanding of where any sort of awareness goes after death.
A Boundary Between Life and Death?
The research I published (see EXPERIMENT) is a low energy analog of the expanding universe (Analogs are analogies. And analogies can be represented by mathematical functions that model behaviors—behaviors that might be similar to one another).
Uncertainty
Does the universe exist as interpreted by us or at some other level?
A Changing god
Once it was thought that our solar system revolved around the Earth.
Then Copernicus discovered that the Earth and other planets revolved around the Sun.
Now we know the entire solar system orbits about our Galaxy every 230 million years.
So it should be no surprise that there is a possibility that God (the top-down rules governing What Is Behind What Is) can exhibit the same paradigm shift—be compiled in explicit datasets as well as generalized into space, time, and mass.
