  1. Hi, Susan, how are you? I tried to understand this latest writing, but, as usual, as I still haven’t chosen to learn physics, etc., it all went over my head & I could barely make enough grammatical sense of it to notice an error or maybe 2 in grammar (!). Other than your continuous work in science, what’s the latest news of you & your family? As I could make zoom meetings work for me, I discontinued participation in the creative writing workshop at the Emeritus section of the Point Loma Community College after working on the anthology committee. Despite stoppages caused by the Covid pandemic, we finally got the anthology published. It’s titled “The Stories Start Here Vol. ll” & is available on Amazon. This time, I have 2 poems in it–one that I wrote to fit the “Closing Theme of Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto” & the other to fit the music of # 4 “Romance” from the “Masquerade Suite” of Aram Khachaturian. I guess you heard that Joe Torricelli died shortly after reaching age 96. He developed Alzheimer’s apx. a year ~ previous; now his widow, age 90 (one year younger than I) has a progressing case of it. The only news I’m hearing for several months lately from Diana Amsden (“Nadia”) is her recommendations for “good movies” & DVDs–no word of her finally finishing her book series. This past April-May, I was finally able, after several Covid cancellations, to go on the European Viking river (Rhine) cruise with Sermsee, Wahsitee (my 2nd daughter), & a high-school friend of Wahsitee. We included pre- & post-excursion trips to Lake Como, Italy & ending at Amsterdam, the Netherlands. One couple on our 1-week Viking river cruise was expelled for their positive result from our daily spit test. We enjoyed everything &, despite a lot of cold, gloomy, sometimes drizzly weather, we did get to see full bloom of the tulips in the near-Amsterdam huge gardens. On one of the coldest dark, rainy days, Wahsitee & I bussed through the Black Forest in Germany to the multiple displays of mostly cuckoo clocks in a small clock town (I forgot name). The same day, Sermsee & Wahsitee’s friend Cindy rode e-bicycles on a tour through an area full of windmills & canals. The rain made the bike terrain so muddy & slippery that Sermsee crashed her bike & fell off into the mud twice. However, as when horseback riding a few decades ago, she got right back on & continued the rest of the miles. . . . This disappeared when I clicked on SEND & suddenly reappeared TWO YEARS LATER!. Computers are mysterious. I decided to just send it on to you anyway.
